Service Opportunities

Service opportunities

Service Opportunities at the Butler Catholic Community.

This year we plan on concentrating our service activities at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, located at 46th and Illinois. But we will also have an opportunity to participate in a Habitat Build. For the third year in a row we will particpate in COOKIES FOR KIDS, an opportunity to bake cookies in neighborhood homes for children in need. We also plan a mission trip to Honduras at the end of the spring semester.

The opportunities at Saint Thomas include tutoring in the school, being a big brother or sister to a student in need, participation in the youth ministry program, CYO coaching, recess duty among other possibilities. One special need is for a religion teacher for the third grade on Sundays. A team of people could alternate any of these activities.

Susan O'Reilly (email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) and Ann Govert  ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
